Frequently Asked Questions
Is Hypnosis safe?
Yes, hypnosis is completely safe when carried out by an experienced professional. Please take your time to ensure you book the right hypnotist to suit your event. This way, you can ensure that he or she will present a funny, entertaining show to suit your audience.
How do you hypnotize someone?
I use suggestion, coupled with psychological process. This helps you to relax safely and comfortably into hypnosis. I then help you to use your own creative imagination.
What if I get stuck in hypnosis?
This does not happen!
In very, very rare cases, sometimes people enjoy hypnosis/relaxation so much they want to stay there a little longer, and consequently fall asleep. They are easily awakened, just as easily as waking a person from deep, restful sleep.
Can you make someone go into hypnosis?
I only work with willing volunteers from the audience who genuinely want to be hypnotised, have fun, and enjoy the hypnotic experience.
In this professional comedy hypnosis show, volunteers will only be asked to participate in entertaining and funny scenarios.
What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a state of mind brought on by suggestion, both verbally and non-verbally. It is a natural occurring state we are all in many times per day. Whenever we are really focussed on anything like reading a book, watching a good film, or playing on our smart phone, we are in a slightly altered awareness. Because we become so focussed in this experience, we don't always notice what is happening outside of ourselves. Hypnosis can be described as a focussed state of awareness.
How does it feel to be hypnotized?
Hypnosis is a relaxed state of mind and body, it is a very pleasant feeling, and an enjoyable experience.
Can everybody be hypnotized?
Yes, if they want to be hypnotized, and can follow basic instructions. Having said that, in a show context, due to the time constraints involved, I choose participants who are likely to be hypnotized more rapidly.
